Whatever the case, it is a tragedy, especially in light of what Jesus said life was meant to be in John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. But by no means would I want to mislead any of you into thinking that this means your life will be void of suffering. Not at all. Jesus also said in John 16:33: I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. This is the difference, Jesus has overcome the world and with Him, we can overcome as well. This is what He wants for you, to overcome. Jesus did not die on a Cross and rise from the dead to help you just get by. He destined you for a life of overcoming sin, influencing others, and knowing Him in an intimate way. I pray you will be diligent in these studies, so that you may be Established in the Gospel.
