Valentinus was a follower of Jesus and And instructed by Paul. He was also an Egyptian teacher and philosopher who founded Roman and Alexandrian schools called Gnosticism. Principles of good versus bad, good and evil and the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. Valentinus founded these schools which are called the Gnostics. Valentinius had disciples who were instrumental in the early and solid foundations of Christianity. In Egypt, Alexandria, Valentinus studied under Theodas who is believed to have been one of Saint Paul's disciples. Valentinus went to Rome in c. 136 when Pope Saint Hyginus (c. 126-c. 140) where he was influential in early Christianity for about 25 years. He hoped to become a bishop but that never happened. A 4th-century Egyptian papyrus, the Jung Codex (discovered in 1946), containing Coptic translations of Valentinian works Surfaced to aid humanity on the verge of another crisis and in the middle of another global genocide. The Valentinian gnostics grew and so did interpretations of it's works but all agree on the vital aspect of Christ's death as the last sacrifice so that men and women may find God through Jesus's innocent and pure heart into the arms of God's deliverance and thus hope for humanity evermore. resurrection in effecting Christian deliverance.
