Book Description

A starting place for learning scripture As you would suspect, there are a couple of things you need to understand before you start reading. And, there is a recommended order once you start reading. This little book was written to give you that. Not much theory, just practical things to do to enable you to understand what you are reading. More than that, you need to understand how what you are reading fits into the entire 66-book Bible. So, there are short lists describing where the various books fit: history, the Holy Spirit, prophecy, walking as a Christian, and the rest. The basic idea is to answer your questions as you start reading the only book in which God himself was involved in the writing. All these various books were written with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. So, it's God explaining Himself. Cool. David Bergsland has been writing since he turned 50. Now, he's finally worked up to where he can do what he wanted to do from the first: Clear, simple instructional booklets on Bible study. Finally, he's old enough to simply write what he knows he should be writing. Of course, that's a little nerve-wracking. But what's new? That's been the story of his whole life.He prays you'll find it edifying.
