Book Description

Welcome to Inductor Basics! This is a nonfiction science book which contains various topics on basics of inductor. When an electric current flows through the inductor's coil, it momentarily stores energy in a magnetic field. An inductor is made up of two terminals and an insulated wire coil that either loops around air or around a core substance that boosts the magnetic field. Inductors aid to accommodate fluctuations in an electric current going through a circuit. When an electric current flows through a conductor like copper wire, it creates a small magnetic field surrounding the wire. The magnetic field grows substantially stronger when the wire is formed into a coil. When the wire is wound around a central core composed of a substance like iron, the magnetic field becomes even stronger; this is essentially how an electromagnet works. The magnetic field is entirely determined by the electric current. Inductors adjust for changes in current flow by using the relationship between the electric current and the magnetic field. When current flows through the inductor's coil, the magnetic field expands until it ultimately stabilizes. Until then, the coil prevents current flow. After the magnetic field has stabilized, the current flows normally through the coil. As long as the current flows through the coil, energy is stored in the magnetic field. When the current is turned off, the magnetic field begins to collapse, and the magnetic energy is converted back into electrical energy, which flows back into the circuit until the magnetic field entirely collapses. Thanks for reading the book.
