Joel Rosenfeld is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University's Schack Institute of Real Estate where he teaches a graduate course on Principles of Real Estate Accounting and Taxation. Before joining the faculty at New York University, Professor Rosenfeld was a senior partner of Mintz Rosenfeld & Company, Certified Public Accountants. He has twice served as Chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Real Estate Conferences and has lectured throughout the country. He is the author of the following articles: Section 1031, Tax Deferred Exchanges, Real Estate's Best Kept Secret, and Tax Relief from Foreclosures and Cancellation of Indebtedness Issues. Professor Rosenfeld continues to act as a consultant in accounting and taxation real estate matters.
