Author Bio
Dr. David MacKenzie is a Professor in the Department of History. His main areas of academic interest are in Canadian history and international relations and the study of international organizations.
He is the author of several books, including Inside the Atlantic Triangle: Canada and the Entrance of Newfoundland into Confederation, 1939-1949 (1986); Canada and International Civil Aviation, 1932-1948 (1989); The Clarkson Gordon Story: In Celebration of 125 Years (1989); Arthur Irwin: A Biography (1993); ICAO: A History of the International Civil Aviation Organization (2010); A World Beyond Borders: An Introduction to the History of International Organizations (2010); Canada 1911: The Decisive Election that Shaped the Country (with Patrice Dutil, 2011), Embattled Nation: Canada’s Wartime Election of 1917 (with Patrice Dutil, 2017) and is the editor of Canada and the First World War: Essays in Honour of Robert Craig Brown (2005, second edition 2018).
Dr. MacKenzie also is a member of the graduate faculty.
